How Could Google make money from videos?

Lately, there has been a major shift in the video industry in their attitude towards consumers. Abc.com is currently offering primetime shows like Lost online for free based on non-skippable ads. One could wonder why not integrate such offering into Google Video.

Here is how it could work; the user will be watching videos or movies from their browser, and occasionally small clips of advertisement on the video will be insertd . These ads could be based on the content of the video . For example if the BBC show CLICK was aired on Google in this way , mobile network providers like O2 can have their videos inserted . Therefore everytime a user watches the advert Google can request O2 to pay BBC for the advert. Although at the beginning , most of the big content providers would be skeptical about such a move, Google as its tradition can attract small businesses with video content to have thier videos Ad-ed! Therefore along side of current catagories of free and sale videos , Google video can have Ad-based content as well.

PS: BBC is not a commercial broadcaster and its already showing Click online for free for UK costumers .
